George is a juvenile reefclaw. He was born in the deep underground caverns to the North-east of Sandpoint. He lived there with his two siblings and his mother until his mother was killed by a group of adventurers there to investigate the rumors of Black Fang. When his mother was killed, George and his siblings came out of hiding to look for her and ran into another set of adventurers who were following the first group.
Terrified, the young reefclaws attacked these adventurers and George’s siblings were killed. Still afraid, George tried to attack one of the skinnier intruders. When his claws did very little, the monster laughed at him! At this, the others began to try to coax George into being their friend. He became curious and when the shortest one began to speak to him, George decided that maybe these people would be okay.
Fond of Kotri, he will follow her as long as it is not harmful for him to do so. His morale is low when not near water, though he can survive out of water indefinitely. He is also very slow on land, only able to move 5 ft per round. George is intelligent enough to understand spoken Common, though he cannot speak. He understands basic and complex commands and may even be taught to nod or shake positives and negatives with training.
He is currently 3 months old. He will reach full size at 2 years old.
